ENG vs IND 2018: Fans Blast Ravi Shastri, Reignite Kumble-Shastri Debate After Lord's Debacle

Fans have started Anil Kumble vs Ravi Shastri debated in the wake of Team India’s horrific show in the ongoing England vs India Test series.

For the second consecutive overseas Test series, the Indian team has looked lost in overseas conditions. While the bowlers have continued to do well, the batsmen have failed miserably. Hopes were really high from this team before this year started. The team finished 2017 after winning nine consecutive series wins under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. However, things went haywire since the tour of South Africa.

The Proteas had thoroughly outplayed India to win the series 2-1. And the team is looking set for more embarrassment in England. Kohli & Co. are already two down in the five-match series after two horrific batting displays.

On Sunday, they lost the second Test by an innings and 59 runs. Batsmen faring poorly in swinging conditions was once again the  biggest reason behind another loss in an overseas Test.

That the game ended inside four days despite the first day being entirely washed out and several rain-interruptions pretty much tells how poor the Indian batting was.  In the first innings, they were all out for just 107 with James Anderson taking 5 for 20. In reply, England scored a mammoth 396 for 7 to put the game beyond India’s reach. And the visitors did little to challenge England.

Trailing by a huge 289 runs, draw was the only option for India. However, it took England less than two sessions to bundle up the world number one Test side. India never looked in contention to save the game and were all out for just 130.

And now the fans have now slammed coach Shastri for the Lord’s debacle. The Fans took Twitter to show their anger against the Indian coach and restarted the old fire between Shastri and former coach Kumble. Some compared the two while few even trolled Shastri for not taking any decision in the Indian dressing room.

Ravi Shastri is Team India's cheerleader. He gets paid to cheer up Virat Kohli. Anil Kumble did not have this skill. All he has is 619 test wickets .

Keeping World Cup ,2019 in view coach Ravi Shastri should be immediately replaced. He talks big n criticize legendary captains n great players where he himself was an medicore player. Anil Kumble was a better coach than him. He utterly failed in tour so far.

Shastri had replaced Kumble after the Champions Trophy last year. Kumble had stepped down as the coach due to the alleged rift against Kohli.
