England paceman Stuart Broad will return to action before the Test matches against India. The lanky fast bowler will play for his County Nottinghamshire when they will square off with Surrey on July 22.

Thus, Broad will be determined to prove his fitness in the County match before returning to the big stage. The English veteran campaigner had suffered an ankle injury while playing against Worcestershire last week.

Therefore, the 32-year old fast bowler will like to make a strong comeback to competitive cricket.

However, the experienced fast bowler last played in England colors in the second Test match against Pakistan. Consequently, he will like to hit the ground running against Surrey from the get-go.

“It needs five days’ rest, then aiming to run Tuesday and build up quickly with an aim to play for Notts CC against Surrey CCC July 22nd. That’s the plan.”

Stuart Broad is a crucial cog in England’s Test wheel. Broad has all the experience under his belt and would like to be fit as a fiddle before the Indian test series kickstarts.

Following the limited overs leg, England will take on India in a five-match Test series. The first Test match will be played from 1 August at Edgbaston, Birmingham. Meanwhile, James Anderson will also be under the radar as he is recovering from a shoulder injury.
