Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) owner Sanjiv Goenka didn't look in great mood after his team faced a thrashing loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 57th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The match between the two teams took place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Lucknow Super Giants were at the receiving end of 10-wicket hammering at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad. It not only would've hampered their confidence but also dented their chances to qualify for the playoffs as a win today surely would've put them in a strong position

Lucknow Super Giants, who opted to bat first, didn't have a great outing as they managed just 165 runs. They were reeling at 66/4 and it was Nicholas Pooran (48*) and Ayush Badoni (55*), who bailed them out of trouble and made sure that their team posted a respectable total of 165 on the board on account of their unbeaten 99-run stand.

Lucknow Super Giants then couldn't put pressure on the Sunrisers Hyderabad with the ball. They didn't know how to bowl to Abhishek Sharma (75*) and Travis Head (89*). The duo wreaked havoc across the opposition's bowling lineup and chased the target inside overs, which speaks about the mayhem it was.

Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL looked completely down on confidence and it wasn't helped by what seemed a scolding by the team owner Sanjiv Goenka. The franchise owner was seen having an animated chat with the captain of the team and seemed to be unhappy with something.

In the video that has gone viral on the internet, Sanjiv Goenka can be seen giving drubbing to KL Rahul. The LSG skipper, however, seemed clueless and held his calm. Here's the clip:

If this was not enough, Sanjiv Goenka then went on to bash head coach Justin Langer. The owner of the franchise seemed unhappy with the Australian coach. KL Rahul was also present there but he left after that.

Am lost for words - KL Rahul after Lucknow Super Giants loss

KL Rahul opened up about the loss his team faced in the game against SRH. He admitted that he was lost for words with the way Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma batted against them. The LSG skipper also admitted that they were 40-50 runs short. Speaking to broadcasters, he explained:

"Am lost for words. We have watched that kind of batting on TV. But this is unreal batting. Everything seemed to find the middle of the bat. Kudos to their skills. They have worked hard on their six hitting skills. They didn't give us a chance to know what the pitch played in the second innings. Was hard to stop them as they teed off from ball one."
