England pacer Jofra Archer has insisted he is unfazed after Pakistan’s teenage bowling sensation Naseem Shah outpaced him in the ongoing first Test. Jofra Archer was interacting with the media at the end of day’s play after Pakistan put themselves in the driver’s seat,

The Barbados-born star was interacting with the media for the very first time since his impressive first international summer for England last year. He was asked several questions related to the game as well as himself. One of the questions was about Naseem Shah.

The 17-year old pacer was the quickest on show, touching 90mph regularly on day two of the Test. On the other hand, Jofra Archer was bowling in mid-80s. The England World Cup-winner has faced criticism from several quarters in recent times for his lack of speed but he made it clear he is not too worried about it.

“It’s not deliberate. It’s not every day you’re going to come in at 90mph,” Jofra Archer told Sky Sports.

“I’ve seen Shah started bowling 90mph so we’ll see how he goes on later on tomorrow morning or afternoon.

“No one is a robot, so I’ll be very, very interested to see what he can produce a bit later. This is not a wicket you’re really going to try to bend your back on. It’s spinning on day two so that says a lot,” he added.

Jofra Archer had a decent outing with the ball in the first innings. He picked up three wickets for 59 runs and was also on a hat-trick once. As far as  Test is concerned, Pakistan have taken the upper hand in Manchester after first two days. Riding on Shan Masood’s impressive knock of 156, the visitors have posted 326 in their first innings. In reply. England were reeling at 92 for 4 at the end of the day’s play.
