With Joe Root back in the side, the hosts will feel bolstered as their batting line-up is bound to have more substance. The Englishmen and the Caribbeans have featured in 15 Tests at the Old Trafford in Manchester.

The last time the tourists stood triumphant in Manchester was in 1988 when Sir Viv Richards was the captain, which was also the final time when West Indies won a series in England.

After an incredible performance at the Ageas bowl, Jason Holder will be keen to put up one more notable performance to ensure consecutive series victories against the old foes.

England vs West Indies, weather conditions at the Old Trafford:

The weather conditions do not seem very promising in Manchester for the course of all four out of five days. The temperatures in all five days would linger between 9 to 14-degree Celcius while the chances of rain look bleak only on the final day, which is the 20th of July.

The likeliness of precipitation is the most on the second and third day with 61 and 69% respectively.

Hence, the fans hooked on to their tv screens are most likely to witness plenty of interruptions with the climate remaining mostly cloudy.
