The former India skipper, MS Dhoni, who is in the twilight of his cricket career, struggled to get quick runs in the recently concluded ICC World Cup 2019. He scored runs at a strike of below 100 which is quite low as per his standards. Soon after India bowed out of the tournament losing to New Zealand in the semifinals, reports emerged he might announce his retirement.

While the veteran cricketer has not intimated anything about his retirement, reports emerged he is no more the first choice in the playing XI. Moreover, a report in TOI claimed that Dhoni would not travel to the West Indies. Dhoni has made himself unavailable for the three ODIs and three T20Is in the Caribbean and will keep it that way for a certain period of time.

Although he has stepped down from the helm of things, his presence in the team is a massive advantage for Virat Kohli. The current India skipper will certainly miss the service of Dhoni.
