Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been such a stalwart name in the International cricket. He has got the aura with him and an experienced cricketer, from whom, every individual would like to take a few lessons. One of those, who wants to rub his shoulders in the dressing room with MS Dhoni is Hanuma Vihari, who has been brilliant in the recent past.

It has been a great last few months for Hanuma Vihari. His staggering numbers are being increased on a regular basis irrespective of the format. After knocking it brilliantly against England Lions in the shorter formats and for Rest Of India, Hanuma Vihari is eyeing to maximise the opportunity in IPL 2019.

Sachin Tendulkar is my role model:

After proving his worth in Test cricket, Vihari is now looking to break into India’s ODI circuit. In an exclusive interview with Timesnownews.Com, he spoke about quite a few aspects on the upcoming assignment of him.

In one of the questions, he revealed that Sachin Tendulkar is his role model. Further, he also spoke regarding his wanting to share a dressing room with Mahendra Singh Dhoni in any format of the game.

”Sachin Tendulkar, definitely! I would have loved to share the dressing room with MS Dhoni, but I would not say ‘regret’ but I was not fortunate enough to share the dressing room with him. But maybe in future, you never know!” Hanuma Vihari said to Times Now.

I was happy to open innings for India in Tests:

Hanuma Vihari was added to the side when India toured England. He impressed the team management with his all-around skills and secured a place in Australian series. Once again, he secured the trust of the team by performing brilliant and also opened innings for the team.

”I was happy that I got the opportunity. Opening in front of 80,000 people on Boxing Day, nothing can excite you more. I was really excited! The support staff informed me and said you have a good technique so believe in yourself that you can go out there and do the job for the team and that is what I exactly tried,” he added.

On Conditions in England and in Australia:

Hanuma Vihari added that there is a big difference in the playing conditions when compared to England and Australia. He believes it is important to adapt to things as per the conditions of the country.

”Completely different channel. In England, it is more about the conditions, although the bowlers have good skills. But Australia is more about the pace and bounce of the wicket. But they are totally different channels altogether,” he added.

Well, it would be interesting to see how Hanuma Vihari copes up with the pressure in the Indian Premier League. Now, he is more a matured player, who can tackle the quality of the tournament.
