I Have Stopped Thinking about Selection - Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson, probably one of the highly talented players in the circuit is still waiting in the wings to find a place in the senior team.

The ongoing year would have been a season for him to fill the slot in Indian National team but he was fallen prey to Yo-Yo test.

Playing for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2018, Sanju Samson exposed his skills to the cricketing world by his exceptional batting. His hard work earned him a place in India A for the quadrangular series to keep him on the radar for senior selection as well.

The flamboyant Kerala batsman quoted he doesn’t want to think about the selection.

Sanju Samson is pretty much confident that a good season with the bat will land him in the senior team.

He furtherly stated he is concentrating on keeping the mind in the positive frame to expose his skills better. Sanju Samson once again taking the glovework to back his batting records which might play a part in selection as well.

“I have stopped thinking about selection because when you think about it, your mind is not in the match and you are not in the right frame of mind,” Sanju Samson told reporters after India A lost to South Africa A in the Quadrangular series here.

“If you perform well, you are almost there. If I have a good season, there might be a chance. But it is better to forget about getting into the team, instead enjoy every game and keep doing well as batsman and wicketkeeper,” he added.

Passed Yo-Yo test with flying colours:

The failure in yo-yo test played a villain role during the important period of his career. However, he took the test as a challenge and completed the task on his next attempt. Sanju Samson is now free to be selected in any tournament under BCCI stamp.
