Watch: Ian Bell Surprises His Son On His Birthday With Messages From Virat Kohli, Ben Stokes And AB de Villiers

Ian Bell has revealed adorable birthday messages for his son from cricket superstars Virat Kohli, Ben Stokes and AB de Villiers. The former England cricketer’s son Joseph turned eight on Thursday. And Ian Bell made sure to make the day special for his son.
The 38-year old showed his son clips of Kohli, Stokes and de Villiers wishing him on his birthday. Joseph was pleasantly surprised to see the game’s biggest names wishing him on his birthday and his father recorded his reaction before posting it on Twitter.
“Joseph, I wish you a very happy birthday. I hope you had a wonderful day. God bless you. Take care of yourself. Cheers” said Kohli as Bell junior started laughing with happiness. It was followed by messages from de Villiers and Stokes.
Ian Bell later posted the reaction of his son to the messages on Twitter with the caption:
“When cricket is life…. What a very lucky lucky boy Joseph is! Huge thanks to these absolute legends for making one incredibly happy little boy on his lockdown birthday. @imVkohli @ABdeVilliers17 @benstokes38”

Earlier this year, Ian Bell announced his retirement from all forms of the game. He played 118 Tests, 161 ODIs and 8 T20Is for England. He was part of one of England’s most successful Test sides and helped his country win five Ashes.
Ian Bell scored more than 7,000 runs in the longest format of the game with the help of 22 centuries and 46 fifties. He was one of England’s batting mainstays in the late 2000s and early 2010s. Ian Bell’s last appearance for his country came in 2015.
