Pakistan and Sri Lanka have had a start-stop beginning to their ICC World Cup 2019 campaign. They have lost their first game and have bounced to win the second encounter. The two Asian giants will look for their second win when they go up against each other later today at the County Ground in Bristol.

Pakistan-Sri Lanka clash for their second win

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka are yet to win a World Cup match against Pakistan and will be desperate to turn things around this time. For that to happen, the Sri Lankan batsmen led by skipper Dimuth Karunaratne need to post runs on the scoreboard against an in-form Pakistan bowling attack. The senior cricketers will have to take the onus on themselves and lead their country against Sarfraz Ahmed & Co against whom they have lost the last five games. The bowlers led by Lasith Malinga did an outstanding job in defending the small target against Afghanistan and will want another marvellous effort to keep the Pakistan batsmen off track.

On the other hand, Pakistan will be brimming with confidence beating the tournament favourites England after a debacle against Windies.  The management played the masterstroke by promoting Mohammad Hafeez at four which provided stability in the batting order as Pakistan posted an excellent total before defending it with a bowling attack that has quality in it. The Men in Greens will look to repeat the same job they did on Monday to give a perfect give to the fans back in the country a perfect gift on Eid.

Weather Forecast

It will be chilly in the morning at Bristol with temperatures ranging around 12 degrees Celsius during the start of the play. However, it will gradually increase to 15 degrees Celsius but with the wind blowing and cloud covers the real feel will be below ten degrees Celsius. The conditions will be significantly cold for the Asian cricketers.

Meanwhile, there are chances of heavy rains in the forecast on Friday morning which can put the game in jeopardy. The skippers of both Pakistan and Sri Lanka will have to take into consideration the DRS factor during the toss time. However, as the layman says it is very hard to predict the Bristol weather and one will only hope that the raingods stay away.
