Batting first, India posted 174 runs with two good fifty-run knocks from KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer. The Men in Blues were in a spot of bother with 35 for two but Rahul and Iyer combined well to bail the host out before Manish Pandya’s quickfire 22 guided them to a challenging total.

Mohammad Naim converted his start finally in the third match scoring 81 runs but lacked support as Bangladesh went down in the final five overs. Deepak Chahar bowled exceptionally well picking four wickets to seal to the game alongside Shivam Dube.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh will move forward with a lot of positives from this series as the young cricketers will gain a lot of experience from this side.

Mushfiqur Rahim had a great start to the series playing a match-winning knock of 60 runs to help Bangladesh register their first T20I win against India. But the veteran wicket-keeper batsman failed to back it up with good scores managing to post only four from the next two matches. Rahim needs to offer consistency to this side which will miss Shakib Al Hasan for the next one year.

Mahmudullah led the side right from the front after Shakib Al Hasan failed to make it for the series due to a suspension by the ICC. He played a good hand alongside Mushfiqur Rahim in the first game and then backed it up with another 30-run knock. However, the Bangladesh skipper failed to score the runs in the final game of the series when his side needed the most.

Shaiful Islam has been Bangladesh’s leading fast bowler in this series barring the second T20I in Rajkot. He has hit the right areas and picked wickets at the right time. Shafiul returned with four wickets from three games which will give him confidence for the upcoming matches.

Soumya Sarkar (6.5/10)

Al-Amin Hossain has bowled well with the new ball but failed to provide early breakthroughs. He has been economical but managed to pick only one wicket from three matches. The right-arm fast bowler will have to work on his game to retain his place in the playing XI.

Left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman had poor outings throughout the series as he failed to live upto the expectations. He gave away plenty of runs and struggled to provide support to his teammates in the pace department. The talented fast bowler needs to pull up his socks and come back stronger.

The young bowler has led the spin department with all might. Although he has not been among the wickets returning with only one scalp, Afif Hossain has been economical in the middle overs keeping the world-class Indian batters into check. However, Afif failed to post runs with the bat but will take a lot of experience from this series.

Aminul Islam (6/10)

Bangladesh unleashed another young cricketer in the series against India who responded well under pressure. Aminul Islam controlled the middle-overs perfectly and clinched important wickets as well for his side. Aminul, who picked four wickets, will only get stronger from here and will serve Bangladesh for a long time.

Mohammad Naim (8/10)

The 20-year-old Mohammad Naim showed great intent in all the matches to give Bangladesh a fiery start. While he remained largely unsuccessful to convert the starts in the first two matches, Naim scored 81 runs in the final match of the series. This series will be a great learning curve for the youngsters who only made his debut in this series.
