India skipper, Virat Kohli became the first captain and the first Indian to score more than a thousand runs in three consecutive calendar years during the Rajkot Test against the Windies.

However, in the ongoing match against the Windies, India got off to a solid start on day two with both Rishabh Pant and skipper Virat Kohli adding quick runs to take India’s total over 400. Later, Kohli hit his 24th ton after smashing a fine boundary in Rajkot.

Meanwhile, Windies have tried four bowlers, but none of them has been able to provide success to rattle Virat Kohli in the first session of the day. However, he also completed his 3000 runs in Tests in India with the help of a boundary.

Earlier this year, Virat Kohli was named as the ‘Man of the series’ from the Indian team against England. He scored the highest runs for his nation scoring 593 runs from five Tests matches.

In addition to that, Kohli scored a fantastic knock with wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant and took India to 450+ landmark. He, however, departs scoring 139 runs with the help of ten boundaries. Meanwhile, it was a good length delivery outside off stump, Kohli wanted to hit that over mid-off, played a touch early, and the ball hit the bottom of the bat. The 29 years old has bagged with more than 6000 runs in Tests cricket with an excellent average of 53.92. He also scored 24 centuries and 19 half-centuries.
