Indian Bowler Jaydev Unadkat Announces His Engagement Via Twitter

Jaydev Unadkat is having the time of his life currently. He ushered Saurashtra to their maiden Ranji Trophy title on Friday in Rajkot, having also taken 67 wickets that made him the highest wicket-taker in the season. A call-up from the national selectors for the Indian team could be just around the corner. After excelling in his professional life, the left-arm seamer has taken a significant step in his personal life too. On Sunday, Unadkat announced his engagement via Twitter by posting a photo with a romantic pose.

His teammate in Cheteshwar Pujara was also present for the auspicious occasion and congratulated his skipper. The 28-year old shared a picture with his fiance Rinny on Twitter and captioned it as “6 hours, 2 meals & 1 shared mud cake later”. Rinny’s Instagram profile also had a caption for the occasion which said “I’ll know I’ve found a soulmate when my love exceeds that deep devotion that I feel for Cheese. Update: I’ve found love.”

Cheteshwar Pujara sends his best wishes:

By posting a photo of his teammate alongside his partner, the Test specialist sent his good wishes to the couple by welcoming Rinny to the family. The 31-year old also playfully warned her that she has to deal with plenty of ‘bromance’ between the duo.

Unadkat’s tally of 67 wickets was the second-most by any player in a single season of Ranji Trophy. Pujara showered praises on Unadkat for his performances in the first-class tournament and claimed that he would be surprised if he didn’t get a national call-up going forward.
