Indian Cricket's Love Affair With Bollywood Continues

Indian team carried their momentum from Sri Lanka to Chennai, as the hosts defeated the touring Australian side by 26 runs in the rain-affected encounter at Chepauk on Sunday.

It was then the duo of former India captain, MS Dhoni, and young all-rounder Hardik Pandya who bailed India out of a difficult situation and helped team India post respectable first innings total on the board.

Touted as the Ben Stokes of Indian cricket, Hardik Pandya in recent times shown glimpses of what he can do with the bat and with the ball.

The all-rounder smashed 24-runs of an over from leg-spinner Adam Zampa hitting him for three consecutive sixes and a boundary. This quickfire fifty from Hardik came in at a time when India were in dire straits.

This innings from the 23-year old got him a lot of attention from the world of Bollywood, recently a conversation between him and anchor-cum-actress Shibani Dandekar got viral.

Now, the Mr. India of Bollywood himself has showered praises on Indian all-rounder and posted a tweet and appreciated the comeback by India.

Pandya soon took to Twitter to reply the iconic actor and tweeted that he is a big fan of him.

This conversation doesn’t stop here, as Anil Kapoor tweeted him that after this blistering innings he has become a fan of Hardik.

This mutual admiration between the two caught everyone’s attention and showed the connection between and love that is there between cricketers and Bollywood stars.
