Rohit Sharma also added that Jasprit Bumrah feels that it is essential to play games to be in rhythm and the whole management had been in touch with him and Hardik Pandya. Moreover, it was the decision of the players to continue playing for the Mumbai Indians throughout the season. Both Pandya and Bumrah will be a crucial component in India’s lineup when they begin their World Cup campaign in England and Wales.

“Like in Jasprit’s case, he is someone who likes to play games to make sure that he is in good rhythm. We spoke at any given stage, if he feels the need to rest, we were open for it. Our physios have monitored him quite well. There was constant feedback from Jasprit as well. So far there are no issues with either of them — Hardik or Jasprit. It has to come from them and they want to continue playing,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, the ongoing IPL season has helped Hardik Pandya regain his form ahead of the marquee tournament. He has been in scintillating form in the ongoing competition scoring 386 runs from 15 games including one fifty and picked 14 wickets.
