Kiwi all-rounder James Neesham is not termed as one of the kings of social media for nothing. Soon after New Zealand were deprived of clinching their maiden World Cup title, fans across the world gave their condolences to Kane Williamson & Co. Encircling that, Neesham posted a tweet which said “Kids, don’t take up sport. Take up baking or something. Die at 60 really fat and happy.” The all-rounder once again used his witty sense of humour to respond to a fan, who incriminated him for costing him several points in the fantasy league team.

James Neesham is one of the rare cricketers in this era, who responds to random tweets from his fans when the majority of athletes take to social media only to endorse brands or react to their teammates. In this particular case, the fan not only picked the 29-year old in his team for the ongoing Super Smash tournament but also made him the captain of his side. Sadly, Neesham did not make it to the playing eleven.

James Neesham joins the banter:

The distraught fan tweeted as “@JimmyNeesh yesterday I made you Captain in my fantasy cricket contest and you didn’t bowl an sigle over forget about batting. Please inform next time before match.”

To which, the Auckland-born gave it back by saying “That’s amazing coz I made you captain of my fantasy things-I-don’t-care-about team and you earned me 5 trillion points.”

In recent times, one of the fans asked the hard-hitting all-rounder as to whether he was on Tik Tok, to which he responded by stating “No, I have self-respect. Kings XI Punjab recently acquired James Neesham’s services in the auction for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Neesham is not only one of the most humuorous cricketers today, but also one of the respected, who prefers to see sport in a different light.
