Just months after beating New Zealand in the World Cup final, England once again came back to haunt the nation in the ongoing Rugby World Cup. England stunned the strong favourites and ended New Zealand’s hopes of winning their third consecutive World Cup. The loss ended New Zealand’s incredible unbeaten run in the World Cup.

The All Blacks had not lost a World Cup match since quarter-finals in 2007. The way they had played in the ongoing tournament, it looked like they would be unstoppable once again. However, England came out all guns blazing and totally outplayed them to win the game by 19 to 7. England never let New Zealand find their rhythm in the game as they registered the famous win.

The heartbreaking loss comes just around three months after the cruel loss in the cricket World Cup final. And Jimmy Neesham had watched that loss from very close. The New Zealand allrounder had come out to bat in the Super Over and nearly took his country over the finishing line.

Eventually, the Super Over had also ended in a stalemate and later England were announced the winner for hitting more number of boundaries. Recently, ICC changed the boundary-count rule. Coming to Neesham, the allrounder could not hide his frustration after England broke New Zealand’s hearts once again.

And it looks like Neesham is now hating the ongoing year as well as England and his latest tweet pretty much proves it. Taking to Twitter after New Zealand’s loss to England in the Rugby World Cup semi-final, Neesham posted a screenshot of him muting ‘World Cup’, ‘England’ and ‘2019’ on his phone ‘forever’.

Neesham, meanwhile, will have a change to avenge for the recent losses when New Zealand take on England in the upcoming T20I series. New Zealand will host England for five T20Is and two Tests.
