You know the game was really, really special when Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar  was left ‘speechless’ by it. That was the reaction from the batting legend after the way the just-concluded game between Mumbai Indians and Royals Challengers panned out.

It was a rollercoaster of a game before Royals Challengers Bangalore triumphed in the super over . Asked to bat first, Royal Challengers Bangalore rode on fifties from Aaron Finch, Devdutt Padikkal and AB de Villiers to score 201 for 3 in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, the defending champions were off to a poor start.

By the time, Kieron Pollard joined Ishan Kishan in the middle, Mumbai Indians were reeling at 78 for 4 in the 12th over. At that stage, it looked all over for the four-time champions. In the last four overs, Mumbai Indians needed 80 and their chances were looking as good as over.

However, Kieron Pollard and Ishan Kishan launched a stunning counterattack to turn the game on its head. In the final over, they needed 19 runs but ended up on 18. Pollard and Kishan, nonetheless, shared a 119-run stand with the former scoring 60 and the latter scoring 99.

Royal Challengers Bangalore eventually won the game in the super over after Mumbai Indians could manage only 7 off Navdeep Saini’s over. Jasprit Bumrah did well with the ball to push the game to the final ball but AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli made no mistake.

And as both the teams were putting up a spectacle in Dubai, batting greats Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly took to Twitter to express their feelings over the game.

Sachin Tendulkar was lost for words as he wrote: “SPEECHLESS!”

BCCI president Ganguly was also blown away by the game as he wrote: “Cmon india .. don’t go any where it’s IPL….fasten ur seat belts .. just WOW..
