PBKS vs RR: Watch - Yuzvendra Chahal Cleans Up Bhanuka Rajapaksa With A Straight One

Bhanuka Rajapaksa has been in devastating form this year for Punjab Kings (PBKS), but was undone by a brilliant delivery from Yuzvendra Chahal as PBKS clashed with Rajasthan Royals in the 52^nd match of the IPL 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on May 7, 2022.

Mayank Agarwal of Punjab Kings won the toss and chose to bat first. PBKS went in unchanged for this match, while RR made one change as Sanju Samson revealed that Yashasvi Jaiswal was included in the XI while Karun Nair went out.

Placed at the 7^th spot in the IPL 2022 points table, PBKS came into this match with 5 wins from 10 matches and they needed to win all four of their matches to make it into the playoffs. Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, are 3^rd on the points table with 6 wins from 10 matches and needed 2 more wins to make it into the playoffs.

Meanwhile, PBKS started off poorly as Shikhar Dhawan struggled to get runs and was caught brilliantly by Jos Buttler for 12 runs of the bowling of Ravichandran Ashwin. Then Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Jonny Bairstow came together to add 42 runs for the second wicket.

Rajapaksa looked a lot dangerous as he went for his shots from the go. He had already hit 2 fours and 2 sixes in his 18-ball 27-run knock when Samson threw the ball to Yuzvendra Chahal, the Orange Cap holder for most wickets in this IPL 2022.

And in the 11^th over, Chahal came good as on the second ball, Rajapaksa tried to advance down the track and hit him over the long-on fence. However, Chahal saw him coming and bowled the ball a bit flatter and it went straight on and hit the leg-stump, sending the Sri Lankan hitter back to the dugout, leaving PBKS 89/2.
