Firstly, the Mumbai batsman extended his thankfulness to the BCCI for all the chances that he had. He further said that he faced a lot of ups and downs early in his career. However, the experiences have shaped it well enough that he is proud and happy to know that he will play his 100th game for India in the shortest format.

Firstly, I never thought I will play so many games. I am grateful for all the opportunities I have got in the past. It’s been a long journey since I made my debut…lots of ups and downs. I have understood my game through the experience that I have had. Yes, I am very happy with where I stand right now getting to know that I will be playing my 100th game for India. Very proud moment.” the Hitman said as quoted by TimesNow.

When asked about which one he would rate as his best knock in T20Is, Rohit responded saying that all the innings that he plays for the Indian team are his favourite. However, he rated the ones in winning causes a step ahead.

I can’t rate any of my knock like that because all four knocks were important. The first one was an important one being the first one, although we lost that game. But the other three came in winning causes so those three were important. I have never been a fan of rating my knocks. I love all my knocks.” he added further.

The Hitman had a special message for his fans by stating that their support has enabled him to play some of the memorable knocks and hopes to keep doing that going forward.

Without their support, it wouldn’t be possible or rather it wouldn’t be easier. Their support means a lot and I hope it continues to shower upon me till the time I play. I look forward to many more memorable knocks in future as well,” he concluded.
