New Zealand’s veteran batsman Ross Taylor has joined an impressive list in the fifth T20I against India. Ross Taylor has become only the third international player to play 100 T20I games. Before him, only Rohit Sharma and Shoaib Malik have achieved this landmark. Taylor has been a consistent performer for the Kiwis, for over a decade now and is the most experienced of the lot.

However, his performance in the current series has not helped New Zealand escape the clutches of India.

The Kiwis have lost four consecutive T20Is by the hands of India and are on the verge of facing a humiliating clean sweep.

Now, New Zealand are on the brink of a heavy series loss. The ghost of super over has haunted them again and they have lost two successive games in super over. Back in 2019, the ICC Cricket World Cup final loss is seen as a major setback for the Black Caps.

India lead the T20I series 4-0 and if Kiwis do not pull off a win in the final game, it will be a humiliating defeat for the Kiwis.

Meanwhile, Taylor will have a crucial role to play in the final game if the Kiwis eye a sole victory in the series.
