Saurashtra Introduce Cheteshwar Pujara And Ravindra Jadeja in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018 Squad

Team India players Cheteshwar Pujara and Ravindra Jadeja have been included in the Saurashtra squad for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018.

However, the Vijay Hazare Trophy will kick off in Alur. Saurashtra will play their first match against Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) on September 19, 2018. Saurashtra will play a total of eight games in the tournament.

Pujara and Jadeja might miss the fifth match scheduled on September 30, 2018.

Moreover, they are likely to miss the remaining matches while representing the national team against the Windies. Pujara and Jadeja have been the star performers for Saurashtra in domestic cricket matches.

Furthermore, India lost the recent Test series against England by 1-4. Jadeja only played the last Test and showed up both with bat and ball. Meanwhile, Pujara scored a century and a half-century in the series against England.

Moreover, Shah added that India and the Windies will face off on October 4, 2018, at the SCA stadium. The two efficient players might miss the second-half of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

“The first Test match between India and the West Indies will start from October 4 at the SCA stadium. The two players are likely to miss second half of the Vijay Hazare Trophy,” Shah said.

The Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) team management has not yet declared the skipper for the squad so far.

However, Cheteshwar Pujara is likely to lead the side in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, while Jaydev Shah may be the captain of Saurashtra in his absence. So much so, Ravindra Jadeja would be eyeing big in the domestic circuit.
