Suresh Raina ended the Zonal league with another disappointing performance. The skipper of Uttar Pradesh could just manage a score of 13 off six against Chhattisgarh. UP won the game and qualified for the next round of the tournament.

After winning the toss, young skipper Amandeep Khare opted to bat first. They had an abysmal start and lost their first wicket on first delivery of the game bowled by Ankit Rajpoot.

In the end, Chhattisgarh could just post a total of 113/8 on the board.

The target was never going to difficult for UP, and they did chase it comfortably with six wickets and 8.4 overs remaining.

Akshdeep Nath played an innings of 43* off 29 while Rinku Singh scored 33 off 20 to lead their team to win.

Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan have made it to the next round from Central Zone.

Brief scores: Uttar Pradesh 114/4 (Akshdeep Nath 43*, Rinku Singh 33; Shakeeb Ahmed 2-29) defeat Chhattisgarh 113/8 (Amandeep Khare 33, Shivendra Singh 27*; Saurabh Kumar 2-16) by six wickets.

A comprehensive show from Manoj Tiwary saw Bengal defeating Asaam in their last league stage and also winning all their four games in the league stage. Tiwary scalped four wickets and also played a match-winning innings of 63* to lead his team to a win.

After opting to field first, Bengal bowlers did a good job by restricting Assam to a score of 143/9. Rishav Das, who scored 53 off 51, was the only batsman to cross the 20 run mark for his side.

Bengal had a shaky start too as they lost two early wickets in the form of Sreevats Goswami and Vivek Singh but Manoj Tiwary, along with experienced Anustup Majumdar, drove the team safely close to winning total before Bengal posted a win to win all the league stage games.

Bengal and Jharkhand are the two teams from East Zone to qualify for the Super League of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Brief scores: Bengal 147/4 (Manoj Tiwary 63*, Anustup Majumdar 34; Swarupam Purkayastha 2-24) defeat Assam 14379 (Rishav Das 53, Sibsankar Roy 17; Manoj Tiwary 4-23) by six wickets.
