He ended with a score of 124 off 62 balls whereas the rest of the batters managed just 63 off 57, which sums up what a special innings it was from the young batter. Jaiswal batted with a strike rate of 200 and smashed 16 fours and 8 sixes in his innings that helped RR posted a total of 212 runs.

With his knock, he also registered the highest score by an uncapped player in the history of the tournament. As he reached his maiden ton in the 1000th game of the IPL, his teammates in the dugout erupted in joy and gave him a standing ovation.

MI vs RR: “It is just one game and I want to keep going,” Yashavi Jaiswal after his knock
Yashasvi Jaiswal opened up about his knock and said that although it’s a special milestone for him but it was just a game and he wants to continue batting the same. Speaking during the mid-innings he said:
“I think I enjoyed every part of my innings. I was thinking right, planning right and hitting the right shots. I have practised all the shots that I want to play. Every time I hold a bat, be it in the nets or the match, I feel the same way. I have worked hard with Zubin sir. It is really special but it is just one game and I want to keep going. I know my role in the team, make sure run-rate is high and contribute in whatever way possible to the team.”
Yashavsi Jaiswal is now the leading run-getter in the IPL 2023 with 428 runs in 9 innings at an average and strike rate of 47.5 and 159.70 respectively to go with 1 century and 3 half-centuries.
