India National Cricket Team express pacer Umran Malik, who is playing for the Rest of India, bamboozled Saurashtra captain Jaydev Unadkat in the Irani Cup 2022 on Saturday, October 1, at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot.

The Irani Cup, which is played between the Ranji Trophy winners and the Rest of India, is witnessing a one-off match between the Rest of India XI and 2019-20 Ranji Trophy champions Saurashtra in Rajkot. Notably, the match between Saurashtra and the Rest of India was postponed due to Covid-19 in 2020.

Meanwhile, the Rest of India won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match and the decision turned out to be an astonishing one for the side.

ROI Pacers Mukesh Kumar, Umran Malik and Kuldeep Sen decimated the Saurashtra batting unit and bundled them out for just 98. Mukesh bagged 4 wickets in the first innings while Umran and Kuldeep bagged three wickets each.

During the first innings, Jammu and Kashmir express pacer Umran Malik was brought into the attack by the skipper Hanuma Vihari in the 16th over. On the second ball of the over, the 22-year-old bowled a sensational yorker with his raw pace. The Saurashtra captain had no answer to the brilliant yorker and the ball went on to crash into the off stump.
