I think when the pregnancy was announced it was always on the cards: Nick Hockley
Hockley said that when the pregnancy was announced, the decision taken by Virat Kohli was always on the cards and it should be respected that he wants to go home for the birth of their first child. He also mentioned that his board is going to give all priority to safety and will look to increase the capacities.
“I think when the pregnancy was announced it was always on the cards and we have to respect the fact he wants to be there for the birth of his first child,” Nick Hockley told Australian radio station SEN on Tuesday.
“We’re going to give all priority to safety but we’ll continue to work with the authorities to see if we can’t increase those capacities a bit as we move forward,” he said.
India’s tour Down Under is the most-anticipated series’ for Cricket Australia after the pandemic situation has hit the normal schedule. The board has made special arrangements for the series, including the bio-bubble, as the traditional four-Test series will help them to recover from the losses due to non-commencement of matches.
