Virat Kohli, the current Indian captain, has been quite active on social media amidst this coronavirus-enforced sabbatical from the game.

From engaging in Instagram lives with fellow cricketers to posting messages for his fans, urging them to stay at home amidst the lockdown to wishing current and former cricketers on their birthdays, Virat Kohli has been a constant on social media.

On Wednesday, Virat Kohli posted a photograph with Shreyas Iyer, thanking the incumbent Indian No.4 batsman in white-ball cricket, who got some home-made dosas for his skipper and his wife Anushka Sharma.

Thanking Shreyas Iyer for the heartfelt gesture, Virat Kohli wrote:

“A kind neighbour who lives 500 m away from us brought us some home made neer dosas and made us smile. A big Thank you to your mom amigo we haven’t had such delicious dosas for a longgg time. Hope you enjoyed the mushroom biriyani we sent back. Good man @ShreyasIyer15,” the current Indian captain wrote on his official Instagram account.

While Shreyas Iyer hails from Mumbai, Virat Kohli has been at his Mumbai residence during the lockdown.

Earlier today, Kohli took to his Twitter account to wish the current BCCI President Sourav Ganguly on his 48th birthday.

“Happy birthday dada. God bless you @SGanguly99,” Kohli wrote.

Meanwhile, International cricket is all set to return on Wednesday with West Indies squaring off against England in the 1st Test at the bio-secure Rose Bowl in Southampton.
