In fact, it would not be very wrong to say that he would bow out of the game as Sri Lanka’s greatest pacer.

Lasith Malinga started grabbing attention right from the time he arrived in international cricket because of his unusual bowling action. The sling-arm action is not very popular in the game but Lasith Malinga made everyone sit and take note of him. And the world soon fell in love with him as he started impressing with his action.

In no time, he became one of the most sought after pacers in the world. No surprises then that the world will miss Lasith Malinga once the bowling great hangs up his boots. But it looks like 17-year old Matheesha Pathirana would not let the world miss Malinga much. The teenager has become an internet sensation due to his action which has an uncanny resemblance to that of Malinga’s.

At first, it did not look like the youngster has a sling-arm action. But just before delivering the ball, he took his arm backwards and did exactly what Malinga does.
