After India’s loss against West Indies in the semifinal of last year’s World T20 when speculations surround MS Dhoni‘s future was viciously doing the rounds an Australian reporter asked the then captain whether he would continue playing after India was knocked out of the tournament.

Dhoni had hilariously called the journalist, made him sit alongside him, put his hand on the reporter’s shoulder and asked, “You want me to retire?”

“I was hoping it was an Indian media guy because I can’t really ask you if you have a son or a brother who is a wicketkeeper. Do you think I am unfit, looking at my running?” he had added.

In reply, the journalist had said: “No. You’re very fast.”

Well, it has been more than a year since the hilarious interaction took place and a lot has changed since then. Dhoni is no more the captain but one thing that has not changed at all is that the former India skipper is still ‘very fast’. The second T20 International between India and Australia on Tuesday (October 10) saw Dhoni setting a personal record in running on the pitch for run.

In an analytical video posted by Star Sports on Twitter,  the World Cup-winning skipper could be seen completing a double at a mind-boggling speed. While taking the second run, Dhoni’s speed was an astonishing 31 kmph while his partner could run only at 16 kmph. One can say that the huge difference between the speed was because Dhoni was running towards the danger end but the 36-year old was far faster than his younger partner even during the first video.
