No matter what the situation is or what the conditions are, Rishabh Pant just knows one way and that is attack. The young wicketkeeper-batsman has made a name for himself with his hitting prowess. And he has batted in the same manner in the ongoing Test series against Australia without bothering about the consequences.

Australia spinner Nathan Lyon has bore the brunt of Pant on most occasions. In the first Test in Adelaide, Pant had hit him for three fours and a six inside an over. Even in the ongoing second Test, Pant hit Lyon for a huge six. The Australia off-spinner had blowed a flighted delivery just outside off stump, inviting Pant to go for the big shot. And the youngster duly obliged. He stepped out and lofted the ball down the ground over long-on. The ball covered a huge distance and landed in the second tier.

Here is a clip showing Rishabh Pant’s huge six:

Meanwhile, India were all out for 283 in reply to Australia’s first innings total of 326. Overnight half-centurions Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli started the proceedings with the bat. The start, however, was a poor one for India as Rahane departed in the very first over even without opening his account on day three. But skipper Kohli held firm and went on to complete a stunning century, his sixth on the Australian soil. However, he got little support from the other end before departing for a well-made 123.
