Former Indian batsman Abhinav Mukund revealed the changes he would make to the Indian playing XI ahead of the clash against New Zealand in the T20 World Cup 2021. India suffered a heavy defeat in the hands of the Pakistan side in the first game of their campaign in T20 World Cup 201 super 12 stages and it hasn’t been the best of starts as well.

India managed to post a total of 151 on the board after losing early wickets and Virat Kohli was the only limelight scoring a half-century. Pakistan cruised to victory in style with all ten wickets in hand and there were a lot of question marks over the Indian bowling attack in the game. Speaking to Cricketaddictor exclusively, Abhinav Mukund revealed the changes he would make in the Indian side for the game against New Zealand.

Abhinav Mukund Feels Indian Management Should Trust Their Players

Abhinav Mukund mentioned that the Indian management shouldn’t worry about the loss to Pakistan much and should keep trusting their players. He also wanted to strengthen the batting and bowling by including Shardul Thakur in place of Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

“I don’t think it’s time to panic. I think it’s time for the Indian team management to trust their players. However, I will make one change to bolster the batting and the bowling. Even the last game I suggested this, I hope it happens this game.” Abhinav Mukund was quoted in a video chat with CricketAddictor.

“I will bring in Shardul Thakur in place of Bhuvneshwar Kumar because at Number 8, he can give you a little bit of batting, and also his wicket-taking ability will be useful in this game,” he added
