Death over bowling will once again be focused on throughout the game against Australia. India scarcely improved in the final few overs as they allowed Western Australia to score 41 runs in five overs. Harshal Patel also bowled effectively to dismiss death-over hues. Rohit Sharma, being the skipper of the Men in Blue will play all the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 matches even if he fails in the warm up match against Australia. He will miss some matches if he opts for a rest against relatively easier opponents and if he’s injured or is Covid-19 positive.

This tournament will be Rohit Sharma’s first appearance as the captain of India in an ICC tournament. Rohit Sharma piled up 43 runs in 3 games in the previous T20I series against South Africa. He got out for ducks in two games but played a good knock in one match. In the prior T20I series against Australia, Rohit Sharma smacked 74 runs in 3 games and also won the man of the match award in one match.

Rohit Sharma will play the warm-up game against Australia and will try to be amongst runs prior to the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. He played both warm-up games against Western Australia XI and while he didn’t bat in the second, he scored 3 runs in the first match.
