IND vs PAK: "Cut Down On The IPL"- Danish Kaneria's Strong Statement, 'Big Player Like Jasprit Bumrah Is Not Part Of The Team'

The Indian Cricket team is facing a lot of injuries at the moment. Earlier Ravindra Jadeja, the all-rounder was ruled out of the tournament. Jadeja is someone who can easily change the dynamics of the match. India though has found a like-to-like replacement in the form of Axar Patel.

Jasprit Bumrah’s unavailability is a huge blow as he could have been lethal in Australian conditions. The right-arm pace bowler is not only famous for his Yorkers but also for his tricky variations like slower balls and cutters. Along with him, Deepak Chahar has been ruled out which makes things complicated for the management.

Danish Kaneria on Jasprit Bumrah

Danish Kaneria was seen speaking on his YouTube channel and made strong remarks about Jasprit Bumrah. “Mitchell Starc didn’t play the IPL and kept himself fit and ready for the World Cup. This is called giving priority to national duties. A big bowler like Jasprit Bumrah is not part of the team now.”  said Kaneria

“He wasn’t available for the Asia Cup either -and that made a huge difference. Now, before a major event like the T20 World Cup, he is not available. Cut down the number of matches that you play in the IPL and in international dead rubbers. Keep him ready for international events.” he added

Mohammed Shami’s Comeback on Cards

The right arm pacer currently is trying to regain fitness. Shami could be the X factor for India in T20 World Cup 2022. The pacer was a part of 2015 World Cup in Australia where he was in red hot form. He also has a point to prove that he is not finished yet.

It would be interesting to see whether Shami gets a nod over Mohammed Siraj as the youngster has been making a strong case for himself. Siraj has shown that he is good at death overs in the IPL. The selection panel will have to be spot on as they can’t afford another debacle this time.
