Indian Cricket Team is still searching for a replacement for Jasprit Bumrah. The right-arm speedster got injured before the start of the India vs South Africa T20I Series. It has been a huge blow to the team as he could have been lethal in Australian conditions.
India has time till 16th October to name the replacement. The top contenders to replace Bumrah are Shami & Siraj as both have got good control over their line & length. The Management selection Panel would be keenly watching the 3rd ODI of India vs South Africa because earlier Siraj had taken three wickets in Ranchi on a flat deck with a good economy rate.

The former India Cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar was quite quick to point out that Siraj can be the replacement for Jasprit Bumrah.

Tough Road Ahead for Mohammed Shami
The senior fast bowler currently is trying his best to regain his fitness. Shami has an uphill task to make a comeback as he has been blatantly ignored by the selection panel.
The pacer has been a force to reckon with in Tests and ODIs but doesn’t have that encouraging numbers in T20I Cricket which may be the reason behind his axe from the team since T20 World Cup 2021.
Mohammed Siraj can be the choice as the pacer has played Cricket in Australia; he was a part of the iconic Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21 where he was quite successful. The format may be different but he can bowl according to the situation of the match. The Management has a conundrum of whether to go for a senior bowler or to back a youngster in a marquee event.
