Massive claims made by Ishan Kishan
Ishan Kishan is named the best player of the match for his brilliant batting show. After the match, the top-order batter expressed that he felt confident when he was up against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru bowlers. He mostly tried to put focus on shot selection.
Ishan Kishan reveals that from the very first day of the IPL 2026 campaign, their target was to finish in the first or second place. The keeper-batter gives credit to every team member to secure a place in the play-offs and a massive win over the defending champions on the home ground, ahead of the next phase of the tournament.
“Just happy about it, taking one game at a time. I do feel confident when I am playing against them (RCB). More than maturity, it's about shot selection. You need to feel confident. From day one, we had that in mind to finish in the top two."
"Pat coming in, one of the best bowlers, it's very good to have him. Credit goes to everyone for keeping us in the zone. You just keep it simple, it's about enjoying in the middle. I need to give the credit to the support staff and Pat Cummins,” Ishan Kishan said at the presentation ceremony.
