As Ben Duckett is grinding it out on the field against Team India in the ongoing second Test in Vishakhapatnam, one of his old posts on X has left the fans stunned.

As he is busy playing in the second game of the five-Test series, some social media users managed to dig out an old post and it has now gone viral on the social media platform. As a result, the England opener might find himself in the firing line of MS Dhoni’s fans because of his old post. The post was not about MS Dhoni but his wife Sakshi Dhoni.

He had written the post in April 2013 when the Indian Premier League was underway. The left-handed batsman, who was yet to make his debut for England at that time, might have noticed Mrs. Dhoni on TV during an IPL match and decided to express his admiration for her on social media. Taking to X, he had written: “Dhoni’s girlfriend/wife is top drawerrrrr.”

Ben Duckett was not even aware of Dhoni’s marital status. For those who don’t know, the former India captain and Sakshi tied the knot in 2010. Meanwhile, the old post from the England star has left the Indian fans stunned and has triggered a range of reactions.

Here are some of the reactions:

Ben Duckett’s performance:

While Ben Duckett is yet to score big in the ongoing Test series against India, he has managed to give England good starts in all four innings so far. In the first innings of the first Test, he and Zak Crawley added 55 runs in less than 12 overs for the first wicket. In the second innings, they shared a 45-run stand in less than overs.

In the ongoing game, the England openers shared 59 and 50-run opening stands in the first and second innings respectively. Ben Duckett has registered scores of 35, 47, 21, and 28 so far. He has been getting the starts and will be looking to capitalize on them in the upcoming games. Meanwhile, England are currently leading the five-match series after winning the first Test by 28 runs.
