Former India National Cricket Team captain Virat Kohli, who is regarded as one of the finest fielders in the world, dropped two catches, although not easy ones, in the same over against Bangladesh National Cricket Team in the second Test match.

The second Test of the two-match series between Shakib Al Hasan-led Bangladesh National Cricket Team and KL Rahul-led India National Cricket Team is currently underway at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. India have a 1-0 lead in the series, having dominantly won the first match.

Meanwhile, in the second session on Day 3, Bangladesh batter Litton Das got a thick outside edge off Axar Patel’s second delivery of the 44th over and the ball went towards Kohli’s right-hand side, but he was unable to take a tough catch and the ball raced away to the boundary.

On the fourth ball of the same over, Axar Patel bowled a delivery spinning away from Litton Das and the Bangladesh batter pushed at it with an open face and got an edge. Kohli misjudged as he moved to his right, but the ball flew past his left and Das got another reprieve.

Earlier on Day 2, Taijul Islam ran through India’s top order to drag Bangladesh back into the contest. However, Rishabh Pant joined forces with Shreyas Iyer at 94 for 4 to lead India to recovery. They added 159 runs off 182 balls.

India’s lower order failed to do any magic this time and they were bundled out for 314 as Taijul Islam and Shakib Al Hasan bagged 4 wickets each while Taskin Ahmed and Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked up one wicket each. At the end of the day, Bangladesh were at 7/0 in 6 overs.

On Day 3, Bangladesh batters struggled and lost wickets at regular intervals. Only Zakir Hasan and Litton Das were able to register good scores. At the time of writing, they were at 174/7.
