IPL 2022: England Pacer Tymal Mills “Looking Forward To Playing” With Premier Pacer Jasprit Bumrah At Mumbai Indians

The 29-year-old England left-arm speedster Tymal Mills has said that he is looking forward to playing with the premier Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah at Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is all set to begin on March 26 and all the games of the league stage will be played in Maharashtra across 4 different venues including Wankhede Stadium, Dy Patil Stadium, Brabourne Stadium and Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium.

Meanwhile, Tymal Mills, who is a death-over specialist in T20 cricket, was bought by Mumbai Indians for INR 1.5 crore at the Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction after the franchise failed to bring back left-arm pacer Trent Boult in the auction.

Also, Mumbai Indians (MI) bought pacers like Jofra Archer and Riley Meredith but the former will be unavailable for the 15th edition of the cash-rich league.

In a video shared by Mumbai Indians (MI), the England pacer said that he got a chance to spend a little bit of time with Bumrah during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 and expressed excitement at sharing the dressing room with India’s pace spearhead Bumrah.

”Had the chance to spend a little bit of time with Bumrah during the World Cup. So looking forward to playing with him,” Mills said in a video posted by Mumbai Indians.

”I have been wanting to come back for a long time and I am happy to get an opportunity,” he added.

Mills added that he is excited to join 5-time Indian Premier League winners, Mumbai Indians, and is looking forward to meeting all his teammates.

”Looking forward to meeting all my new teammates. Obviously (Mumbai Indians) are a great franchise. I haven’t played at the Wankhede before. This is my first time back since 2017,” he added.
