IPL 2022: I'm Very Happy To Be Playing, I'm Fulfilling My Parents' Dream - Mohsin Khan After IPL Debut

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) pacer Mohsin Khan debuted for the franchise in their game against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Friday and he left a tremendous impression on the outcome.
After contributing 13 runs with the bat, the pacer opened the bowling and finished with impressive figures of 3/24 in four overs. Although he didn’t bag the Player of the Match award, his performance had the highest impact on the game.
Following the conclusion of the match, Mohsin revealed that it had been his parents’ dream for him to rub shoulders with the biggest names in world cricket and make his mark in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
“I was waiting for three years for an opportunity. My parents used to say that it was their dream to watch me play in an IPL match. Now that I’m playing, my parents are the happiest. I’m very happy as well, I’m fulfilling their dream. I dedicate my performance today to my parents,” Mohsin said in a chat with Deepak Hooda after LSG’s game against PBKS.

Mohsin further revealed that he gets to learn a lot at the new franchise and is constantly asking for advice from LSG skipper, KL Rahul. The 23-year-old youngster was part of Mumbai Indians (MI) but failed to break into the playing XI.
“I will continue to follow what I’ve been doing. I keep having conversations with Rahul Bhai (KL Rahul) and the support staff, and try to add whatever inputs they give me.”
“I’ve been with Mumbai for three years. There were very big players there, so I didn’t get an opportunity to play but I learned a lot. Here, the support staff is quite good and I’m getting to learn a lot here as well,” Mohsin added.
After LSG’s win over PBKS, they now leap to 3rd spot on the points table and are well on their way to cementing a spot in the IPL playoffs.
