South African batter Dewald Brevis is all set to make his debut for Mumbai Indians (MI) against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Match no. 14 of the ongoing IPL 2022 season.

Brevis replaced Tim David in the lineup and will likely be playing in the middle-order. The 19-year-old recently won the Player of the Tournament award in the U-19 ODI World Cup that concluded in the West Indies.

He is known as ‘Baby AB’ for having a playing style that is quite similar to former South African batting legend, AB de Villiers. Brevis will be keen to make a good impression on his debut.

Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav also returned to the MI setup after returning from the National Cricket Academy following rehabilitation for his injured thumb. He will be replacing Anmolpreet Singh.
