The 67th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 will be played between Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday, May 19.

Kohli has scored his runs at an average of 36.35 and a strike rate of 130.38 in 235 games. Also, following him on the list of RCB’s highest run-getters are AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle.

Virat Kohli Set To Become First Player To Score 7000 Runs For RCB

Kohli, who joined RCB back in 2008, is just 57 runs away from reaching the 7000 runs landmark for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

If he plays a good knock in the game against GT, he will become the first batter to score 7000 runs for RCB. Also, he will become the first batter to score 7000 runs for any franchise that has been part of the Indian Premier League.

Virat Kohli, who was RCB’s sole retention before the IPL 2011 mega auction, has scored 6519 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL), which makes him the highest run-getter in the history of the cash-rich league. Notably, he has scored 424 runs in the Champions League for RCB.
