Tim Southee Bought By Kolkata Knight Riders For INR 1.50 Crore In IPL 2022 Mega Auction

Tim Southee was picked by Mumbai Indians during IPL 2022 auction. He was picked for a price of Rs. 1.50 crore. Earlier, the New Zealand pacer kept a base price of Rs. 1.5 crore in IPL 2022 auction. He was part of Kolkata Knight Riders in the last season.
Tim Southee made his debut in IPL 2011. He was picked by Chennai Super Kings in the season. In the tournament, he played 5 matches and picked 4 wickets. Thereafter, he did not play in the next two seasons.

In IPL 2014, the right-arm pacer was picked by Rajasthan Royals. He played for two seasons for the team. The Kiwi pacer picked 0 wickets in 3 games in IPL 2014 and 6 wickets in 7 matches in IPL 2015. When Rajasthan Royals got banned for two seasons in 2016, he was picked by Mumbai Indians.

Tim Southee played 11 games in IPL 2016 and picked 9 wickets. In IPL 2017, he grabbed 3 wickets in 3 games. For the next two seasons, he was part of Royal Challengers Bangalore but did not play many games. Last year in IPL 2021, he was a replacement player for Pat Cummins in KKR. He played 3 games and got 3 wickets. Ahead of IPL 2022 auction, KKR released him from the squad.
