"Jos the Boss" - Twitter erupts as Jos Buttler's ton nullifies Sunil Narine's heroics as RR beat KKR

Fans on Twitter reacted after Rajasthan Royals clinched victory against Kolkata Knight Riders from the jaws of defeat in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The match between the teams took place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Tuesday (16th April). 

Rajasthan Royals produced a magical effort with the bat, thanks to the valiant ton from Jos Buttler. They won the game from the losing position and bagged their 6th win of the tournament to go to the top of the table in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. 

Kolkata Knight Riders, who were asked to bat first, came up with a superlative effort with the bat. Thanks to the blistering ton by Sunil Narine, who slammed his first ton in cricket, the home team posted a gigantic total of 223 runs on the board. 

With the ball, Kolkata Knight Riders were in complete control of the game as they kept chipping in with wickets at regular intervals. After two early wickets, Riyan Parag (34) and Jos Buttler put on 50 runs for the third wicket and brought their team back in the game at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

But after that, Kolkata Knight Riders pulled back things well and put one foot past the finishing line. However, there was a twist in the tale in the end as Rovman Powell (26) and Buttler took the attack to Kolkata bowlers and stitched 57 runs. Despite battling pain, he held his nerves well and took his team home.

After Powell got out, Jos Buttler (107*) did the carnage on the bowlers. He hit a blistering ton and took his team home from the jaws of defeat and helped his team win the game by two wickets.
