Delhi Capitals (DC) batter David Warner failed to make an impact with the bat in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The match between the two teams is taking place at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

David Warner looked in decent touch in the game against the Lucknow Super Giants. He played some gorgeous shots for his team at the top to set up a great platform for his team in the chase. However, he was at the receiving end of an unfortunate dismissal in the game against the home team in Ekana.

David Warner perished in the 4th over the second innings against Lucknow Super Giants. The batter shuffled across again to play the pick-up shot or the lap but got cramped up for the room. The ball hit him on the back thigh and lobbed up.

To his misfortune, the ball spun back and went on to hit the stumps. It dislodged the leg-bail. David Warner tried to push the ball away but it was a bit late and the batter was utterly shattered with the way he got out at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Here's the video:

David Warner couldn't go big with the bat as he managed just 8 runs off 9 balls. His wicket saw Delhi Capitals lose their first wicket for just 24 runs. After he got out, Prithvi Shaw played valiant innings with the bat and scored 32 runs off just 22 balls to help his team take past 50 runs.

However, he couldn't carry on as Ravi Bishnoi removed him. The onus now lies on skipper Rishabh Pant and Jake Fraser-McGurk to take their team to the win. The duo are batting well so far in the game and would be keen to take their team to the win, in what will be their second win of the season.
