IND vs SA: India Had The Bowling Attack Today, Even Hardik Pandya As Sixth Choice, But That Was Not Enough- Ashish Nehra On India's Defeat

Former Indian bowler Ashish Nehra lauded David Miller and Rassie van der Dussen for their role in making the six-man Indian bowling team appear weaker.
In the first T20I at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Thursday, the South African pair put on an unbeaten 131-run partnership for the fourth wicket.
At the expense of the Indian bowling team, the Proteas produced their highest ever run chase in the shortest format. Previously, India had the highest total at the Delhi venue. They were unable to resist, though, as South Africa chased down a massive 212-run target with five balls remaining.
On Cricbuzz, Ashish Nehra praised David Miller’s performance, saying:
“Miller is in such good form that he has resumed International cricket in the same manner as he left the IPL. Even though India seemed to have the bowlers today, including Pandya as a sixth alternative, this is not enough. It’s not simple to chase 212, but Miller and van der Dussen made sure the bowling didn’t get comfortable.”
‘David Miller’s success comes from his experience’: Ashish Nehra
Ashish Nehra believes that David Miller’s success is due to his confidence and experience.
“Miller has been performing well in the International circuit, despite not doing very well in the last couple of IPL events. He has the trust, which he demonstrated in the IPL, and he has the necessary talent and experience.”
“It isn’t like he played well for a couple of seasons before the IPL and then went for a lot of money at the auction like some Caribbean guys” Ashish Nehra continued.
With a win in the first T20I, the Temba Bavuma-led side established a 1-0 lead. On June 12, the teams will meet at Cuttack’s Barabati Stadium for the next encounter (Sunday).
