Dewald Brevis Reveals The Player He Would Rather Bat With Amongst Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers

Dewald Brevis, a teenage batting star for South Africa, appears to have always been prepared to perform for the senior national side, despite being excluded from the Proteas’ T20 World Cup selection because he is “too young” for the competition. 

Brevis has once more established himself as the next-best player in South African cricket and possibly a world-renowned player. With his stunning performance of 162 runs off 57 balls for Titans against the Knights in a CSA T20 Challenge game on Monday at JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom, the 19-year-old smashed numerous records. 

Dewald Brevis hit 13 sixes and 13 fours as his 162 runs — stand as the highest tally by a South African batter in men’s T20s and in the world. Only Chris Gayle (175) of the West Indies and Australia’s Aaron Finch (172) have scored higher. 

Dewald Brevis Picks Sachin Tendulkar Over Virat Kohli And AB de Villiers

In an exclusive chat with ESPN Cricinfo on the show called “You Have To Answer”, Dewald Brevis has picked Sachin Tendulkar over AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli when asked about who would he like to bat with.

Brevis produced a number of explosive performances for the Mumbai Indians, and impressed the fans and former cricketers alike with his aggressive approach. Meanwhile, his bromance with Tilak Verma was also well-known in the Mumbai camp. 

When asked about who would he choose from Tilak and Sachin Tendulkar to spend time with, Brevis looked in a spot of bother for once but later picked the master blaster citing his knowledge of the game would help the youngster. 

“It’s odd because me and Tilak spend so much time together. It would be odd not picking but I think spending time with Sachin sir is next level because the amount of knowledge he knows about the game so it will be Tendulkar” 

Many were disappointed when Brevis was left out of South Africa’s squad for the T20 World Cup because the national side selectors felt the need to protect him because he is young. Brevis has already played in top T20 leagues around the world, including the Caribbean Premier League and Indian Premier League.
