England vs India 4th Test will resume on Friday (September 3) with Day 2 proceeding. The cloudy overcast conditions so far in the Oval Test have suited the bowlers and we saw as many as 13 wickets in the first day falling to the fast bowlers with a green top on the pitch. Oval has been a batting paradise at recent times with the average first innings score of above 350 which hasn’t been the case in this test so far.

As far as the second-day weather conditions of England vs India 4th Test are concerned, the day is expected to be cloudy throughout, and certainly, there will be a lot for the fast bowlers in offer from the pitch. The precipitation percentage is just 3 percent and there are highly unlikely chances of rain on the second day. The humidity is expected to be 75 percent for the day while the sunshine will get a little brighter after the morning session.

England vs India 4th Test: England Bundle Out India For 191

During the Day 1 of the England vs India 4th Test, England managed to produce another world-class bowling spell with four fast bowlers bowling at tough lines consistently for the Indian batsmen. The Indian top-order after having made a decent start were triggered into a sudden collapse with Chris Woakes coming into the attack.

Virat Kohli’s 50 and Shardul Thakur’s crucial 57 made sure that India ended up at a decent total of 191 on the board in the end. Woakes picked up f4 wickets in his return test while Ollie Robinson bagged 3 scalps. James Anderson and Craig Overton managed to pick one wicket each.

England Openers Fall Cheaply

Later, England suffered a big blow at the start with their openers falling cheaply. Rory Burns could only pile up 5 runs before losing his wicket to Jasprit Bumrah. Later, Haseeb Hameed lost his wicket for a duck against another spectacular delivery by Jasprit Bumrah. Umesh Yadav gave a big shock to the hosts after he clean bowled Joe Root. With 21 runs, the England skipper Joe Root could not provide great help to the hosts in batting this time.

England currently rail at 53-3 on the scoreboard with Dawid Malan batting at 26 and Craig Overton on the other end at 1 run. Indian bowlers have successfully managed to attack England’s top order so far but they need to crush the other batsmen quickly to gain domination in the match.

The England vs India 2021 series is at a stalemate 1-1 now with the visitors winning the 2nd Test while hosts emerged victorious in the 3rd Test. England vs India 1st Test ended in a draw after getting affected by rain.
