The IND vs ENG 5th Test match will be played in Dharamsala. Team India have already won the series 3-1 and won three Test matches on the trot. This is the first time England lost a Test series in the “Bazball” era.

England won the first Test by 28 runs. India came roaring back in the second Test and won it by 106 runs. They registered a 434-run win in the third Test and a five-wicket win chasing in the fourth Test match. The hosts now have a chance to end the Test series 4-1.

The fifth and final Test match in Dharamsala will be the 100th Test for Ravichandran Ashwin and Jonny Bairstow respectively. The fourth Test win was a momentous occasion for India for more than one reason.

It was England’s first defeat in the Bazball regime and also the first time that England lost three Test matches under Ben Stokes. This was also the first time that the trio of James Anderson Joe Root and Stokes were a part of 10 Test match losses in India.

KL Rahul, meanwhile will miss the fifth Test as well as he went to London for medical consultation and is back in India. He is expected to return in IPL 2024 and “in line” to be available for selection for the T20 World Cup 2024.

Players from both teams enjoyed the break between the fourth and the fifth Test. The England players shared a picture of them going for a walk through the streets of Dharamsala. The team, however, is languishing eighth on the WTC points table.
