PBKS vs CSK: "Comeback Super Kings" - Twitter reacts as Chennai Super Kings thump Punjab Kings in IPL 2024

Fans on Twitter reacted after Chennai Super Kings (CSK) registered their sixth win in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. They defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 28 runs at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association in Dharamsala on Sunday in the 53rd game of the tournament.

Chennai Super Kings yet again lost Ajinkya Rahane (9) in the start and it wasn’t a great start for them. However, after that, skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad (32) and Daryl Mitchell (30) brought their team back into the game at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association in Dharamsala. 

The duo added 57 runs and it seemed that the Chennai Super Kings are all set for a big total. However, after that Punjab Kings made a solid comeback and picked up wickets at regular intervals and bossed the game in the middle phase. 

Ravindra Jadeja (43) played a vital innings for his team and powered them to a total of 167 for nine. For Punjab Kings, Harshal Patel and Rahul Chahar picked three wickets each. 

The batting display wasn’t great for Punjab Kings as Tushar Deshpande picked two wickets in the second over, removing Jonny Bairstow (7) and Rilee Rossouw. The home came under immense pressure at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association in Dharamsala

Prabhsimran Singh (30) and Shashank Singh (27) kept Punjab in the hunt with their 53-run stand. However, after that nothing and their way as Chennai Super Kings bowlers were all over the batters

They picked wickets regularly and restricted Punjab Kings to a total of 139 runs won the game by 28 runs to win their 6th game of the tournament and keep themselves in the hunt for playoffs.
