Shane Warne's Long-Time Friend Reveals Legend's Behaviour Hours Before His Sudden Death

Shane Warne died of a suspected heart attack in his villa in Koh Samui in Thailand on March 4, Friday. He went there for a holiday and his family members said that the legend complained of chest pain before leaving for his trip to Thailand. Warne’s death has taken the entire cricketing fraternity by shock and surprise.

In the meantime, Shane Warne’s long-time friend and associate Tom Hall, spoke about the behaviour of the legend, in the final hours before his sudden demise. He said that he found nothing unusual about Warne before the calamity.

“The first question is, ‘How can we watch Australia v Pakistan test here in Thailand; the game’s about to start?’, Hall wrote on the website, quoting Warne.

Hall further spoke about his association with, Shane Warne. He said that the former leg-spinner was working with him forThe Sporting News website for a year or so.

“Warney and cricket were never far apart. He came back with an armful of clothes looking like he had been at a yard sale. Shane had been working with me at The Sporting News for the past year or so and he presented me with his jumper from the 2005 Ashes Test, his 2008 IPL shirt and a one-day international shirt and cap to place in the TSN offices in Australia and the UK,” Hall further said.

The Thai police further confirmed that Warne had chest problems and also was suffering from asthma and some heart issues before he left for a trip with friends to Thailand. However, Hall said that none of his friends who were with him on this trip knew anything about Warne visiting a doctor before coming on this trip.

“He knew he was a bit overweight and was getting back into training harder. His travel companions from Australia did everything they could, the local ambulance crews got there fast,” said a statement from the Thai police.

The police had sent Warne’s body for autopsy while his family members are demanding for his body to be handed over to them for the final rituals.
